The estate of “La Cendrillon” has 123 acres (50 hectares), of which 37 acres (15 hectares) are dedicated to young vines between 2 and 15 years of age, which are planted at the extremities of the Fontfroide and Boutenac land.
The estate converted to organic agriculture and obtained its ECOCERT certification in 2013, in keeping with the conviction that all great wines are born from a preserved and living environment. This approach requires extreme care in order to obtain healthy grapes and juice full of intense flavours.
The vineyard has been renovated and converted to organic agriculture. Other techniques including water management by drop by drop irrigation, growing grass between the vines and enriching the soil with sheep’s manure, have also been implemented.
Planting exotic grape varieties (Albarinho, Verdejo) and extending the wine warehouse enable the vinification of each plot to express its originality.
The diversity of the soils and the grape varieties (Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache, Carignan and also Merlot, Marselan or Petit Manseng, Albariño and Verdejo) provides the wine maker with an exceptional range of colours and aromas. The wines are fresh, balanced, fine and elegant.
