The exploration of our terroirs in search of authenticity and purity of expression led us to set apart the parcel, the ‘Vignes des Amandiers’ (situated in a slate terroir at the edge of the garrigue) with its Syrah and Grenache vines of over 35 years old. Intended to highlight the ageing potential of the wines from the region, this wine reveals the richness but also the finesse and depth of the Corbières, far from the archetypal profile of the appellation.
Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre
Average age of the vines: 30 years old. Yield: 25hl/ha.
Located on the slopes of the Pech, protected by the garrigue from the wind. Limestone clay soils, with surface rocks over a seam of slate.
Deep, glimmering garnet red. Soft spices, red fruit, blackcurrant liqueur underlined by balsamic notes and a touch of vanilla on the nose. A full, complex mouth with an elegant, softly silky tannic structure.
